AREA
Valia Calda National Park: Known as the "Warm Valley" in the Vlach language, it is one of the most remote national parks in Greece. Home to the brown bear, it reaches altitudes of up to 1,860 meters and features forests of beech and black pine, crystal-clear waters, and absolute silence.
It’s a place that makes you feel small — and deeply fortunate — just to be there.
The video below shows the landscape just as you can expect to see it this coming November — it was filmed in November 2024.

IMPORTANT INFO
Note 1: This presentation will be regularly updated with the latest information — stay informed
Note 2: The organization does not provide vehicles to participants. You are required to participate with your own vehicle, whether privately owned, granted for use by someone else, or rented
Note 3: For your own safety — and the safety of everyone involved — we strongly advise against participation by beginners, even if you have your own vehicle.
This route is long, demanding, and may present unpredictable challenges. If you are a beginner and choose not to disclose it on your registration form, you will be putting yourself and the entire group at serious risk.
Note 4: Any business interested in supporting the event in any way — such as offering gifts (e.g. clothing, footwear, vehicle or rider equipment, etc.) or overnight stays anywhere in Greece — is welcome to contact us via email at compassoutdooradventures.greece@gmail.com or by phone at +30 697 4475 074.
Note 5: Your vehicle must be in very good condition. We strongly recommend a full preventive check before the event. It is highly likely that part of the return route will be driven at night. If your vehicle is chain-driven (not 4WD) and lacks proper lighting, it will be positioned between other vehicles for safety during the night section.
Note 7: The departure time must be strictly respected. On Saturday at 09:00, all vehicles must depart.
Note 8: Please inform your insurance company that you will be participating with your vehicle in a recreational touring event in the wider area of the Municipality of Grevena, organized by our office. Make sure to clearly state that part of the route will take place in mountainous regions and on dirt roads. Your insurance provider may request an additional rider or clause to ensure that you are fully covered on that day — both for off-road driving and for any additional risks.
