HIKING VIKOS GORGE

Vikos Gorge is well known to most Hikers, as it is the deepest Gorge in the World, in proportion to length, width, height, and is listed in the Guinness book.

The hike in the Gorge lasts from 6 to 8 hours. This depends on the number of participants and their experience.

Rare species of flora and fauna find refuge in the area. The Gorge is 11 km long. In many places its depth exceeds 1000 meters.

Departure from Sivota at 8 in the morning. Arrival in Monodendri in about 2 hours, where the hike begins. Collection of the group from the village of Vikos after 6-8 hours.

Stop in the village of Vikos for coffee (served by the office) and/or food (optional and not included in the price). Return to Sivota.

Total full-day duration from 10 to 13 hours. Minimum number of participants 3 people.

The cost depend from the number of participants, and includes:

- The transport Sivota – Monodendri
- The guiding of a professional Mountain Leader
- Pickup from the other side of the route, in Vikos
- Free photos and videos
- Hiking equipment (hiking poles)
- The transfer Vikos - Sivota
