HIKING POLYNERI - VRACHONAS - SIVOTA

We begin our hike in the small mountain village of Polyneri, following an uphill trail that leads us to the ridge of Vrachonas. From there, we continue along a forest dirt road toward the abandoned village of Vrachonas, where the remains of traditional stone houses from the 18th and 19th centuries still stand — silent witnesses of a bygone era.

Throughout this approximately 13-kilometer route, you’ll have the opportunity to observe the typical Mediterranean flora of the region, including olive trees, sage, oregano, and thyme.

Wildlife traces such as hares, foxes, and wild boars are often present, and with a bit of luck, you may even spot wild horses moving freely in their natural habitat.

The hike ends in the seaside village of Syvota, where the lush green hills give way to the deep blue of the Ionian Sea — a rewarding transition from mountain silence to coastal beauty.

The experience is guided by a certified mountain leader from our team, ensuring safety, local insight, and professional guidance along the way. We also provide trekking poles for anyone who wishes to use them.

During the hike, we take photos and video footage, which we then share with you free of charge, so you can keep the memory of this unique journey forever.
