Brussels
I am very happy to travel to Brussels, at the invitation of a representative from the European Commission, to participate in a working group set up on Tourism issues.
The European Commission conducted a survey entitled "Single Market barriers in the EU tourism ecosystem - Survey 2023", and I participated as a Compass Outdoor Adventures Tourist Office.
The officials took my answers very seriously, and invited me (a special honor for me and the office) to participate in a working group that will take place tomorrow, in Brussels, on Tourism issues among a few more invited from other European Countries.
My goal is, the work I did in the last month, experiences through my work, data from scientific books and several other sources, to understand the risks, problems and shortcomings that exist in all the Treaties of the establishment of the EU (Maastricht, Amsterdam, Nice, Lisbon, etc.), until its completion and development. A competitive destination to keep at high levels (Europe) will have to evolve, improve and create New Rules for Outdoor Activities, visitor safety and interaction with the environment.
I also want to say a big thank you to the Chamber of Thesprotia and to all those who represent it and work in it, because from it I received information about this particular research, and to emphasize how important it is to inform its members about matters concerning their profession every one.
I will update once again with the end of this workshop about the entire agenda that exists in the topics to be discussed...
Tourism (alternative forms of tourism, outdoor activities, adventure tourism) must become safer for everyone….
